                                   DAY 3

In our third day in Makassar we had another orientation about the Bahasa Language and we had a micro teaching. Learning Bahasa language was fun and really interesting because some of the words in Bahasa has a similarities in tagalog maybe because Indonesia and Philippines in located in South-east asia that's why some words has a similar in sound and has same meaning. I learned a lot this day about Indonesia and how to communicate using bahasa langugae. We had micro-teaching and my topic is about Adjectives and its kind. Ma'am Widya said that there are similarities in Indonesia about teaching methods and we need to prepare some interactive activities for the students. Ma'am Widya told us that we're going to have our on the job training in Sekolah Islam Athirah ( Athira Islamic School) this school is own by the Vice President of Indonesia. Athira is one of the leading school in Makassar. I felt surprised about Athira because I'm so excited to meet new students and teach them about English. I'm looking forward for next week for our observation in Athira. After orientation and micro teaching we went to the other faculties of UNM. We went to Science faculty, English faculty and Arts faculty. In Science faculty there are separated buildings to its major we also went in the laboratories they have a lot classroom for the experiment and we saw some samples of bacteria there. In English faculty we were not able to enter the building because there's a lot of students their and they're doing something same in Arts faculty the students their are busy planning for the upcoming events which is the independence day on August 17, 2016.

                                                                   DAY 2

Our second day in Makassar was so fun. We had a tour in the Universitas Negeri Makassar campus. UNM has nine faculties, their faculties are located in some other places in Makassar we need to ride in a car for able to go in the faculties. We visited the Education faculty, Library, Indian corner and french corner. UNM has a lot program to enroll because some of the students in UNM wants to learn different languages like indian and french. We talked with some proffesors of indian and french corner and according to them if the students wants to go in India and France they need to be knowledgeable about language. I've learned that if you want to go to other country you must be knowledgeable about their language not just their language the cultures as well. In order not to have a language barrier we need to study first the language. I've learned also the importance of English language having a knowledge in English language make our life easy specially when we're communicating with foreign. We went also in the Pinisi building of UNM and we gad our orientation their about Makassar I've learned a lot of things in Makassar. The tourist spots, traditional foods and some beliefs. I had so much fun about the orientation, because gaining knowledge about other cultures makes me curios and want to try some of the cultures in Indonesia and also I want to some tourist spots in Makassar not just in Makassar maybe in other region if I could have so much time.

Hi..My name is Abigael Dinglasan I'am an education student in TIP (Technological Institute of the Philppines) major in English Language and I'm one of the SeaTeachers bacth 4. I must say that I'm so grateful to be part of this program. Traveling is not about you went to other places and that's it. Traveling should be you gained knowledge, learned new cultures, learned new languages, interact with other people especially from other country, witnessed the other cultures and beliefs, have respect what others beliefs and specially is to enjoy your everyday journey when you're in other place or country. The time that I was arrived in Makassar, Indonesia I met the other SeaTeachers from Thailand and the coordinators and students of UNM (Universitas Negeri Makassar) I can see to these people the excitement on their faces to meet us here. The first we did are we went to Mcdonalds to have some breakfast together, second is we went to the hotel where we are staying right in now by the way we're staying at La Macca Hotel in front of the UNM me and my roommate was so very happy in our room it has two beds, one cabinet and one bathroom our kitchen is in other room where all our buddies are staying. The third thing we did is we went to the money changer so we can change our USD into Rupiah then we went to the supermarket we bought some personal needs and food their. Ma'am. Widya accompanied and drive for us from airport to the supermarket. The last thing we did is we went back to the hotel and had a rest because travelling from Manila to Makassar takes one day and we're so exhausted. These what's happened of our first day here in Makassar.
